The Real Underground Radio 3.0

The Real Underground is an online radio station managed by the A-Team DJ Coalition, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. The station originated as a radio program on FM frequencies back in 2006, a brainchild of two of Little Rock’s well-known rap figures, D-Dirt (@LilRockObama) and Joseph “HogLeg” Davis, who envisioned an all-local radio showcase for 88.3 FM.

The Real Underground show debuted in 2006 and garnered considerable acclaim from both the urban and incarcerated communities. Broadcasting twice a week for five years, the show eventually went off the air due to insufficient financial backing from pledge drives. It was reintroduced to the airwaves in 2014, leveraging internet radio technology to sustain its momentum and broaden its impact by providing greater autonomy over playlists, airtime scheduling and listener engagement metrics.
